In recent years, we have seen students struggle to activate the social-emotional skills needed to overcome learning gaps and persevere through challenging, grade-level work. To address this issue, we, in conversation with SEL thought leaders and practitioners, have developed a Teaching Perseverance Tool, which enables secondary school educators and students to co-construct strategies for working through challenges in the classroom. We are excited to explore this tool with workshop attendees at the Substation in Roslindale on Friday, October 21.
